The Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS), the country’s leading national humanitarian organization and a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, is implementing the Nakisawa Project in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) and with funding from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). The project aims to address critical humanitarian needs in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI), and Livelihoods.
As part of this intervention, URCS is undertaking the upgrade of the Misiera Water Treatment Plant to improve its efficiency, performance, and long-term sustainability.
URCS therefore invites Sealed Bids from eligible and competent bidders for the supply and delivery of the following items
Construction of additional Components for Misiera Water Treatment Plant including Water Intake system, Back Wash System, Inspection Chambers, Sludge Filtration Bed, Drainable Latrine and a Gate House in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Isingiro District, to be executed from January 2026
- Invitation to bid documents can be picked from URCS Supply Chain Office in Kampala located on Plot 551/555 Rubaga Road from Monday, December 1st, 2025 to Tuesday December 16th , 2025.
- Interested Bidders shall pick the Invitation to Bid document from Supply Chain Department after payment of a Non- refundable fee of UGX: 150,000/=. The payment mode shall be cash, payable at the Uganda Red Cross Society Cash Office
- Bidders who participated in the previous procurement process are highly encouraged to re-apply and will receive the bidding documents at no cost.
